1. Information We Collect

Kanji Tree is designed to collect absolutely minimal information:

• Analytics & Crash Data: We collect anonymous, aggregated data regarding app performance, usage patterns, and crashes to help us improve Kanji Tree. This data does not contain personally identifiable information.
• Store Information: When you purchase or download the app via Apple App Store or Google Play Store, those platforms collect transaction and device information according to their respective privacy policies. We only receive aggregated, anonymized metrics (like total downloads) from these platforms.

2. Data Storage and Security

Your learning progress (such as unlocked nodes, node durability, and mastery status) is stored in a local SQLite database shipped inside the app bundle and updated locally on your device. The security and privacy of this data rely entirely on the security of your own device.

If you choose to uninstall the application or use the internal "Reset All Progress" feature, your data will be permanently deleted from your device. We do not maintain backups of your local data.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not integrate third-party ad networks or tracking pixels into Kanji Tree that harvest user behavior.

4. Push Notifications

Kanji Tree uses local push notifications for SRS Review Alerts, Daily Study Windows, and Milestone Celebrations. These notifications are scheduled and triggered entirely on your device (`expo-notifications`) and do not require your data to be sent to a remote server to be processed.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
